I love books – what teacher doesn’t? I especially love books that rhyme and count, especially in the fall of kindergarten!
I am linking up with Mrs. Jump’s class today for Book Talk Tuesday! I am also sharing a new freebie with you!
10 Fat Turkeys by Tony Johnston, illustrated by Rich Deas is a fun filled, silly story with interesting adjectives, repetitive text that is engaging, rhymes, and introductory subtraction! It is a favorite of mine and my students every year, even when I taught older than kindergarten!
Right now I still have some kiddos that are working on one to one correspondence and recognizing their numbers. I thought it would be fun to connect our learning activities to stories we are reading, so I made a fun little Turkey Number Match 1-10! Click on the link, picture, or head to my TpT store to grab it for free!
