Each “find it” writing center comes with 8 vocabulary cards that are designed to pair perfectly with the recording sheet. Plus, all vocabulary cards also come in black and white versions for an ink-saving option!
To play, start by hanging (or hiding!) the vocabulary cards around the room. Give students the corresponding recording sheet attached to a clipboard and they can walk around the room searching for cards. When they find a card they color the matching picture.
For an extra challenge or for students who are ready, you can have them label the pictures with the full word or even just the first letter.
Teacher Tip: Turn these centers into a hands-on, sensory experience by adding the vocabulary cards to a sensory bin. Your kids will have a blast pulling the cards from the bin and coloring the pictures!
