Snowman Addition Game
Bring some winter learning fun to the classroom with this Snowman Addition Game. Your students are sure to love flicking the spinner to see what numbers to add! Plus, you’ll love how easy it is to prep! Let’s begin with gathering just a few simple supplies.
Supplies Needed:
How to Play
We played this game in small groups during math workshop, and it was a hit!
We started by practicing with our “spinners.” All we needed is a pencil and a paperclip! Simply hold the pencil in the center of the paperclip while flicking.
Once the students got the hang of it we could begin playing! Flick the paperclip to spin the first spinner. Then do the same for the second spinner.
Add the two numbers together and color a mitten with the sum! There is also a number line included for support.
To save paper, I like to place the snowman addition printable in a dry erase pocket and use cotton balls as “snowballs”, or any other manipulative I have on hand, to cover the answers!
