It is almost November! This free Turkey Scramble Sight Words Activity is the perfect way to celebrate the Thanksgiving season and is so much fun! These no-prep printable pages make setting up your literacy centers super easy. Simply print out and unscramble the words! It’s the perfect addition to our fall collection of sight word activities!

These turkey scramble pages are perfect for reviewing 4 letter pre-primer and primer Dolce sight words.
There is also blank version of this printable (with space for 4 letters) you can fill in yourself. Use it for your weekly spelling words, high-frequency words, or fun seasonal words for the month of November!
You could also laminate the sheets and make them reusable in centers.
First, it might be a good idea to introduce this activity in your small group of students BEFORE they attempt to use the printables independently.
In a center or small group, children will rearrange the letters they see on the turkey feathers and find out what the word is.
Students will then write the word on the lines on the turkey’s tummies. Include fun writing tools like markers to make the activity more fun!
Tip: Students with special learning needs, or young students, might need to use letter tiles to physically arrange and rearrange the letters until they get to the correct words.
After unscrambling the sight words, don’t forget to color your turkeys!
“Turkey Eggs” Extension Activity: A fun idea is to have small letters inside a plastic egg, the same letters that you find on a turkey.
Give each student an egg to unscramble and swap eggs around to have more practice before moving on to the written activity.
