Roll and Cover Snow Globe Number Activity

This roll and cover number activity is perfect for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Use it as a number recognition activity or switch it up and it can easily become a fun addition game! It’s easy-prep and adds a wintry twist to your math centers!

Preparation for this activity doesn’t get any easier. Just print the activity sheets (download below), grab your bingo daubers and dice, and you’re all set to go!

Number Recognition Game

The students will begin by rolling one die. Whatever number they roll is the numbered snowball that they need to mark on the activity sheet with their bingo daubers.

My students love any game that includes bingo daubers but you could also simply have them color in the matching snowball.

Another option is to have the students cover the snowball with a mini eraser or any other small manipulative that you have on hand. As a bonus, this also strengthens their fine motor skills!

Addition Game

This activity also includes an addition printable! For this game the students need to roll two dice.

The numbers they roll are the numbers that they need to add to find the sum. Mark the snowball with the correct sum on the activity sheet!

My students love to use this game for partner work. Each student takes turns rolling the dice and adding the numbers. The first to mark all their snowballs on their own sheet is the winner!

The last activity included is a printable with blank snowballs which you can add your own numbers to and use it to practice other skills! This would be great for practicing subtraction or even skip counting!
