Learning the alphabet is an important skill for early learners! Make it fun by adding in some hands-on activities to help your kids get excited about letter practice. These free Alphabet Stamp Handwriting Printables are a hit with my kids because they LOVE activities with stamps, and I love that they can work on letter recognition and letter formation in an engaging way!

Have a blast practicing letter recognition and formation with these fun and free Alphabet Stamp Handwriting Printables for early learners!

Alphabet Stamp Handwriting Printables

These printable handwriting pages are great for an independent activity or for use in small groups, depending on how many sets of stamps you have. I like to use them in our literacy centers where I set out 3-4 different letters at a time for students to work on. Let’s grab our simple supplies and get started!

Supplies Needed:

  • Stamp and Write Printables (download below)
  • Alphabet stamps (uppercase and lowercase)
  • Stamp pads
  • Pencils

Teacher Tip: I like to let my students write in colored pencil or crayon sometimes to add an extra level of excitement and fun!

For this activity, students begin by stamping the given letter several times to fill up the blank space at the top of the page.

How to Use the Alphabet Stamp Printables

For this activity, students begin by stamping the given letter several times to fill up the blank space at the top of the page.

My kids love stamps, especially when I let them use our scented stamp pads (surprisingly they don’t put it on their nose, but we go over that rule!).

Next, they fill up the top line by writing the uppercase letter. Lastly, they practice the lowercase version on the bottom line.

Students fill up the top line by writing the uppercase letter. Then, they practice the lowercase version on the bottom line.

This activity strengthens letter recognition (for both uppercase and lowercase letters), handwriting, and fine motor skills all at one time. The best part is that it is super fun!
