Learning to recognize and read sight words is an important part of reading fluency. Liven up your sight word practice with this EDITABLE and free Stamp It! Sight Word Activity for Kindergarten! Stamp It! Sight Word Activity
My students absolutely love using stamps so I knew that as soon as they saw the alphabet stamps they would be super excited to start practicing sight words!
This activity will help your students to strengthen sight word fluency, handwriting, and fine motor skills all at once. It’s perfect for Kindergarten but would also be a fun, interactive activity for 1st grade. Time to grab our simple supplies and get started!
Supplies Needed:
- Stamp and Write Printables (download below)
- Alphabet stamps
- Stamp pads
- Writing tool
Teacher Tip: I like to let my students write in colored pencil or crayon sometimes to add an extra level of excitement and fun!
How to Use the Sight Word Printables
This sight word activity couldn’t be easier to prep AND it’s editable! That means you can type in any sight words you would like your students to work, print, and you’re ready to go!
Students begin by stamping the given sight word several times to fill up the “Stamp It!” blank space at the top of the page.
When they finish stamping, they can then use their pencil, or any fun writing tool (we used crayons), to fill up the “Write It!” handwriting lines on the bottom half of the page.
Because this activity is editable, you can customize it for any words you want! Students can practice stamping and writing their names, color words, number words – just to name a few ideas.
The possibilities are endless!
