LITERACY CENTERS AND ACTIVITIES:
Rainforest Habitat Fact Sheet – This is a short list of scientific facts to read aloud to students or to research and learn more about the rainforest habitat.
Let’s Label Rainforest Habitat – Cut and glue the names of some animals and/or plants in the rainforest habitat.
Rainforest Animal Writing – Place the picture/word cards around the room. Choose from ‘Rainforest Animal Color It’ or ‘Rainforest Animal Write It’ recording sheets.
Butterfly Letter Puzzles – Match the butterfly letter puzzles. Choose to match uppercase to uppercase or uppercase to lowercase or lowercase to lowercase and use the coordinating recording sheets.
Banana Blends – Use the sorting mat to sort the monkey picture cards. Choose from ‘Pick and Write’ or ‘Pick and Color’ recording sheets.
Leafy Lunch Sight Words (editable sight word cards included) – Use the leaf letter cards to build the sight words on the mat. Recording sheet included.

MATH CENTERS AND ACTIVITIES:
Forest Facts Mat – Choose an addition or subtraction equation card and use the animal picture cards to solve the problem on the mat. Recording sheet included.
Anteater’s Anthill Mat – Choose a base ten block card, count, and color the matching number on the recording sheet.
Ten Toucans Mat – Choose some orange beak and some yellow beak toucan picture cards to fill the ten frame. Show the ways to make ten on the recording sheets.
2D Animal Shape Puzzles – Match the 2D animal shape card puzzles. Trace the matching shape on the recording sheet.
Animal Number Spinners – Choose one animal spinner. Use the recording sheet to show counting on from the number the spinner stopped on. (10 spinners with numbers 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81-90, 91-100)
