Kindergarten May Printables for Math & Literacy
This May resource pack requires no prep and includes simple printable activities perfect for early finishers, morning work, or sending home with your students to extend their learning!
Grab these printables when you’re in a pinch or add them to your math and literacy centers to reinforce important skills. Simply print – and that’s it!
Let’s check out some of the fun activities included!
Spin, Read, and Color
This time of year is super exciting as the kids start to blend letter sounds together to make simple CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words. In this Spin, Read, and Color activity, they can use a paperclip and a pencil to make a spinner, adding an extra level of fun!
Students simply spin and read the word family chunk on the flower. Then they find and color a flower that is part of that word family. This May resource pack includes CVC word family printables for each short vowel!
May Word Problems
Word problems are a great way to practice reading fluency and math skills at the same time! These May Word Problems printables are the perfect addition to math centers or to use as a whole group listening activity.
Decide whether you want your kiddos to listen to or read the word problem on the page. Then they can use the space in the box to solve the problem using pictures, numbers, and words.
Dig for Digraphs
Blending letter sounds to make a brand new sound can be tricky! This Dig for Digraphs printable adds a “colorful” element to practicing beginning digraphs.
For this activity, students read the words on the sand pails. Then they color the pails that have words with the TH digraph. This pack also includes printables for practicing sh, ch, and wh digraphs!
Want to bring some ice cream fun into the classroom without the calories? This Subtraction Scoops activity will help your students practice subtraction while also strengthening cutting and pasting skills.
Your kids will have a blast solving the problems on the cones and cutting and pasting the scoop with the correct answer above the cone.
Looking for a quick print, engaging center activity? Look no further! This Picture It! printable will have the little artists in your class super excited for center time.
For this activity, students read the sentence and draw a picture in the box to match. There are also lines for them to copy the sentence in their best handwriting!
Lemonade Number Bonds
Add this no-prep Number Bonds activity to your centers and you can watch your students have tons of fun practicing important math skills.
They just fill in the missing number on the glass to equal the total shown on the lemonade pitcher. We even included a number line for extra support!
Strengthen color word fluency and color recognition skills with this Colorful Scoops printable! It’s a fun and effective quick print activity.
Let your kids pick their favorite coloring tools and they can have a blast identifying colors and building up fine motor skills while they do their best coloring the ice cream scoops.
Count by 5s!
Make skip counting extra engaging with this Count by 5’s activity! The sand buckets add the perfect beachy twist to this simple math printable.
Kiddos simply count by 5’s and write the numbers on the sand pails. When they are done, they can move on to the Count by 10’s version that’s also included!
