Digital Literacy and Math Games During Distance Learning

If you are teaching virtually, digital learning games are a life saver! You can easily assign any of our digital math or digital literacy games out to your students in Google Classroom™ or Seesaw™. Or, if you don’t use either of those platforms for your virtual classroom, you can easily send kiddos these games to play in Google Slides™.

I love digital games, because they are engaging and fun for students but there is zero prep for me! I can send it with the click of a button and know that my students are getting excellent practice in important skills.

In this digital literacy game, students look at the picture on the crayon box and find the crayon that has a picture of a word that rhymes.

Digital Literacy and Math Games For In-Person Teaching

But digital learning games are not just a great solution for distance learning. I love to use digital games in my classroom when I’m teaching in-person!

I like using digital games during circle time. We can play these games together to practice or review a skill we are working on.

After we’ve looked at them during whole groups, you can easily use these digital learning games during centers! Kiddos can play these engaging math and literacy games with little help and instruction, so you can focus on your small groups.

Your students will love dragging the rhyming crayon to the crayon box.

Crayon Box Rhymes Digital Literacy Game

I love this cute and simple, digital Crayon Box Rhymes game. Students look at the picture on the crayon box and find the crayon that has a picture of a word that rhymes.

Rhyming is a skill we practice a lot throughout the year, because it gets our students listening to sounds. So I love having this bright and colorful game up my sleeve to send to my students (no matter how I’m teaching). I know they are getting great practice and having fun, too.

This crayon box rhyming game is super fun on both tablets and computers.
