It’s shamrock time! Gather up your collection of green manipulatives and prepare your little ones to have fun with addition!  Don’t you just love it when themed freebies come along like this that make your lesson planning prep easier and your day more fun?  I know I do and my children are always giddy and excited to learn.

Clover Addition Math Mat Free Printable

When I think about planning ahead for centers and themed activities, I look for those that are effective, easy to prepare and long-lasting so that I can use them year after year

To prepare either your centers or small group for this math addition activity, just simply download the FREE printable, print, and laminate.  By laminating the math mat you are able to use it over and over again, year after year if you’d like!

Next, you’ll want to collect some green counters or manipulatives that you already have on hand.  If you don’t have anything that’s green, don’t worry!  Food items work well too.  Grab a handful of cheerios and let your children build their addition equation with those instead!

Lastly, you’ll need a dry erase marker with eraser and some dice.  It’s time to get started!
