This pack contains the following printables and skills for January:

  • Snow Prints – Print the letters of the alphabet in uppercase in your best handwriting on the snowballs.
  • Snow Prints 2 – Print the letters of the alphabet in lowercase in your best handwriting on the snowballs.
  • Colorful Mittens – Read the color words and color the mittens.
  • Mitten Match-Up short a – Read and match the rhyming short a cvc words.
  • Mitten Match-Up short e – Read and match the rhyming short e cvc words.
  • Mitten Match-Up short i – Read and match the rhyming short i cvc words.
  • Mitten Match-Up short o – Read and match the rhyming short o cvc words.
  • Mitten Match-Up short u – Read and match the rhyming short u cvc words.
  • Mitten Match- Up picture rhymes – match rhyming pictures.
  • CVC cocoa short a – write the cvc word for the shown pictures.
  • CVC cocoa short e – write the cvc word for the shown pictures.
  • CVC cocoa short i – write the cvc word for the shown pictures.
  • CVC cocoa short o – write the cvc word for the shown pictures.
  • CVC cocoa short u – write the cvc word for the shown pictures.
  • Middle Sound Mittens – Write the middle sound (medial vowel in cvc words) for the pictures shown.
  • Ending Sound Snowballs – Write the ending sound for the pictures shown.
  • Snowman Syllables – sort the pictures as either 2 syllables or 3 syllables.

  • Cool Counting – Print the numbers 1-20 on the mittens with your best handwriting.
  • Snowy Count by 10’s – cut and paste the snowflakes in order 10-100.
  • Penguin Count by 5’s – cut and paste the penguins in order 5-50.
  • Tally Mark Match – cut and paste the tally marks to the snowmen with the matching number (tally marks to 10)
  • Base Ten Block Match – cut and paste the base 10 blocks to the penguins with the matching number (base ten to 20)
  • Number Word Match – Draw lines to match numbers and number words.
  • Number Word Match 2 – Draw lines to match numbers and number words, and then write numbers 0-10 in your best handwriting.
  • Frosty Fill-in – Fill in the missing numbers in each row of mittens (numbers to 20)
  • Roll, Add, and Color – roll 2 dice, add the dots, and color the hat that shows the total.
  • Roll, Add 1, and Color – Roll one die, add 1, and color the ice skate that shows the total.
  • Roll, subtract 1, and Color – Roll one die, subtract 1, and color the ice skate that shows the answer.
  • Snowy Sums – Add the 10 frames and write the total (sums to 10).
  • Snowy Sums 2 – Add the dice and write the total (sums to 10).
  • Twenty Frame Cut and Paste – Match the numbers and twenty frames (teen numbers)
  • Ten Frame Sums – Show addition problems on ten frames by creating the shown equation, then solve (sums to 10)
  • Snow Day Graphing – Graph the winter items.
  • Pattern Hats – Color the hats in the pattern shown (AB, ABB, AAB, ABC)
  • Winter Word Problems – students listen to or read (depending on their level) the addition word problem and use the box to show their work.
  • Winter Word Problems 2 – students listen to or read (depending on their level) the subtraction word problem and use the box to show their work.
  • Emergent Reader – “Do you like January?” – simply print 2 sided, cut in half, and staple for a fun emergent reader for your students!
