Happy Thanksgiving! It is day 4 of Blog Hoppin’s Week of Giving Thanks.
Yesterday I shared how I am thankful for a large classroom and today’s letter is N. Once again, I am going with a phrase of thankfulness!

For the letter N, I am most thankful for New Beginnings.
I tend to be a bit of a dweller. I can over think things like nobody’s business. Rough day? I can think about it way more than I need to. Said the wrong thing? Let me replay that a million times in my head (get the picture? – I have a thinking problem).
I have been working hard with myself on realizing that each day has the opportunity to be a new beginning. Each moment has the opportunity to be a new beginning if I will allow it to be. I can choose to dwell on something for another moment and give that moment up to worry and anxiety, or I can choose a “new beginning.”
To me, a new beginning doesn’t mean a big life change. To me, a new beginning is a new moment, a new choice, a new attitude.
Embracing new moments and new days encourages me to be positive, smile, and be thankful for each new beginning that I am gifted.
How about you? Do you need reminders to not over think? Or, are you able to go with the flow and “shake things off”?  What are you thankful for?
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours – may your day be blessed!

For me the ability to practice flexibility comes and goes. I know that I can start my day over whenever I need to, but sometimes it is more of a struggle than other times. New beginnings are a great things to be thankful for.

It is definitely a process! Some days no matter what I try to tell myself it is still difficult for me to stop the over thinking. I figure I will just keep at it! One step at a time right? 🙂

I read your first little paragraph and all I could think was… me too! I really like the reminder that a new beginning doesn't have to be huge. Thanks for sharing and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

I definitely dwell too much! It is baby steps for me, but focusing on the small things has helped a bit! 🙂
