My husband and I purchased the home we live in 7 years ago. It was our first home and the excitement of owning a home, being newly married, going to college, getting careers and more left us with very special memories of our house.
We are at a time in our lives right now where we are considering a move to a bigger space with more property, and it has been a tough thought process. I am thankful that we have the option of doing so and am thankful for the time and memories we have and are still making in our current house.
What has really been resonating with me is that I must remind myself that home is not my house. Home is my husband. Home is my family, friends – even my dog. Yes, I live in my house, care for it, and am grateful for it, but the walls do not make the home. It is what is inside that counts!
