Check out some of the activities in this summer-themed resource pack below…
Ice Cream Subtraction Clip Cards
Clip cards are always a hit in my classroom and these Ice Cream Subtraction Clip Cards are no exception! They are great for strengthening subtraction skills and fine motor muscles.
Students simply solve the subtraction problems within 10 and clip the answer. Easy and fun!
Flip Flop Magic ‘e’ Match
Matching games are a fun and interactive way to work on important skills and this Flip Flop Magic ‘e’ Matching Game is sure to be popular with your kiddos!
To play, they match the CVCe words to their pictures to make a flip flop pair. This game is perfect for differentiation as one set includes the word by the pictures for word matching support.
Sand Pail Counting Mats
These Sand Pail Counting Mats are hands-on and super versatile! Grab any manipulatives you have on hand and you are ready to play. Playdough, mini erasers, or even REAL seashells are perfect for this activity!
Once you have your manipulatives ready, kiddos can read the numbers or number words (1-20) and fill their sand pails.
Seashell Sight Words
Your kids will love practicing sight words with this customizable Seashell Sight Words Activity! Choose which words you would like your students to work on spelling and writing and simply type them into the EDITABLE file.
Students build the sight words with the seashell letter cards. Then they can practice writing their sight words on the sand pails.
Fun in the Sun Before and After
Looking for an easy and engaging way to work on number order? Then this Fun in the Sun Before and After Activity is perfect!
In this activity, kids pick a sun card, read the number, and write it on a sun on the recording sheet. Then they write the numbers that come before and after.
Scoop Up Sounds
Identifying beginning sounds is a skill that we practice all year long. This Scoop Up Sounds Activity is the perfect way to make practice with beginning sounds engaging and fun!
Students pick an ice cream cone and say the picture name. Then they color the scoop of ice cream with that beginning sound. There is even a second set that includes the letter of the beginning sound written on the cards for extra support!
