Spring Flower Ten Frame Puzzles

Spring is in the air! The grass is getting greener and the flowers are starting to bloom. I absolutely love seeing new life start to spring up when the weather gets warmer. Spring also brings along the rain showers and as they like to say, April Showers bring May flowers. Bring on the showers Mother Nature, I can’t wait to see flowers. While we are waiting for all the beautiful spring flowers to pop up, have fun counting and identifying numbers with these ten frame puzzles.

Spring Flower Ten Frame Puzzles

These puzzles are perfect center work or morning work for preschool and kindergarten and are super easy to set up.

Simply print, laminate, and cut out around the whole puzzle.  Then cut them in half along the dotted line in the middle so you have two pieces.

These puzzles are self correcting, making it easy for students to check their own work.

Each puzzle #1-10 has only one match so students will know if they have correctly matched the number and ten frame.

Give students all of the pieces and have them match the rain number card with the ten frame flower card.

Once a puzzle is matched, students will go to the recording sheet and fill in a ten frame and write the number on the line.

You can print a recording sheet for each student or print one and place in a dry erase pocket and use dry erase markers to save on copies and make this reusable.

Extension Activities

1. Provide students with manipulatives for them to work on one to one correspondence and fill in the ten frame side of the puzzles.
2. Give students dry erase markers for them to trace the number side of the puzzles.
