With Earth Day just around the corner, we are looking for lots of ways we can integrate Earth Day not only into our science studies, but into other times of our day too! These free printable Earth Day math games are great for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students, as there are 3 levels of play. However you play, your kids will love practicing their number sense and celebrating the earth at the same time!

Printable Earth Day Math Games
We have lots of plans for some hands-on Earth Day activities this month and these printables are a great way to bring the Earth Day fun into our math centers!
You can easily make these games reusable and eco-friendly. Just slip the printables into dry erase pocket sleeves to save paper! Use dry erase markers to color or fun manipulatives like erasers or unifix cubes to simply cover the answers.
These games have 3 ways to play which makes them perfect for differentiating. So let’s dive right in!
Roll and Color
With my early entry Kindergarten class, we enjoy building our number sense with the Earth Day Roll and Color option.

This allows us to work on our subitizing skills with dice (recognizing quantity instantly without counting). We simply roll the dice, find the matching numeral, and color the earth.
Spin and Add
Another option that is a bit more challenging is the Earth Day Spin and Add.
Grab a paperclip and pencil to form a spinner by placing the pencil in the center and flicking the paperclip.
Spin twice and add both of the numbers together, using the provided number line for help if needed. Then color the earth with the correct sum.
This is perfect for kids who are ready to give addition to 10 a go, and is a great fit for most Kindergartners in the spring!
Spin and Subtract
Finally, if you have students ready for the challenge of subtraction, they can use their makeshift spinner to play Earth Day Spin and Subtract.
After spinning twice and subtracting their second spin from their first, the students color the earth with the answer. Once again, they can use the number line for extra support.
