Add 1/2 teaspoon of borax into a 3/4 cup of hot water and stir for about a minute, letting the borax dissolve.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of borax into a 3/4 cup of hot water and stir for about a minute.

Now divide the borax water evenly and pour half the borax water into your blue glue mixture and stir, and half into the red glue mixture and stir.

Pour half the borax water into your blue glue mixture and stir, and half into the red glue mixture and stir.

The ingredients should start clumping together and turning into slime. You will likely have a little leftover water in the bowl.

The ingredients will begin to solidify into slime as you stir.

Remove the slime and knead with your hands for a couple of minutes.

Teacher Tip: When kids play with the slime, you may want to lay out disposable cloths underneath if they are rubbing it or stretching it onto a tabletop surface, as it does contain food coloring.

The glitter in the slime sparkles through the pretty blue and red colors.

I hope your kids enjoy playing with this patriotic slime as much as we did!
