Hello May! You really snuck up on me. In fact, you left me running around like a mad person because you started on a FRIDAY (Who does that?? Yes, I know…many months do sometimes but STILL) and I had to get the newsletter, the show and tell calendar (yes I have one of those), the volunteer calendar, AND the Mother’s Day invites ready on Thursday because you were so sneaky and I thought I had time.
But, other than that – I am glad to see you! 🙂
I love linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy 4th Grade to check in on what is Currently going on! Here are my thoughts on this lovely day in May!
Listening: My husband is working hard on building the back deck. We are moving this summer and that has been an unfinished project. I do find it funny that while we lived here it could sit unfinished, but now we are fixing everything to look lovely just to move. 🙂 You may wonder why I am inside typing while he is working hard out there….. well, I am doing the dishes. I am. Right after this post.
Side note… if you follow me on Instagram you saw that earlier today we took a break from our work because he had a BUG fly in his ear and we had to go the ER…..but all is well now! We will forever have a story to relate to that deck I guess! (“Remember when you had a bug lodged in your ear?) 🙂
Loving: I love that it is sunny but not hot. I hate the heat. I would choose rain and freezing any day over a scorcher. But sunny and breezy? I love that!
Thinking: As I mentioned in my intro… May totally surprised me this year. I pretty much thought it was like the 2nd week of April. Plus, my kinders have still been saying “April fools!” because they totally don’t get that it is only one day, so you can see how I would be confused.
Wanting: I value the time and hard work I put into a lot of things, especially projects, blogging, teaching, etc. However, there are some things – like housework – where I wish I could turn into Samantha from Bewitched, twitch my nose with those little song notes, and BAM! It’s clean! Wouldn’t that be lovely?
Needing: I need to go for more walks. Especially now that the weather is better. They would do me a lot of good and probably give me more energy! I have been feeling a little sloth-ish lately and needing more coffee than usual. I need to get myself in gear!
Summer Yes, Hope, Dream: Yes to Vegas! I am heading to the TpT conference and am so excited!!!
My hope is kind of a yes as well… We are for sure moving this summer, but my hope is that we can do it by July so that I can not be stressed out during August/Sept and the back to school chaos!
My dream is a vacation. My husband and I usually go to the ocean each year or at least somewhere, even if it is small. We didn’t go last year, so I am trying to convince him we need a bigger vacation this year to make up for it! 🙂
