The pages that require cutting and pasting I did not copy double sided. I copied them single sided and put them in the back pocket of the folder as pictured below. These pages are at the end of the download for easy printing!
In most cases, a folder sent home is all you will need to do. However, you know your students and families well, and perhaps you have students who do not have access to the same supplies as others. In that case, I have found an easy, cost effective way to send supplies home with them. I did this for all of my students.
I found really cheap pencil pouches at Wal Mart or Target at the beginning of the year, so I stocked up. I put crayons (you could use any leftovers from your school year to save some money as well), a pencil, paperclip, and dice in there. You could also add a pair of scissors and glue stick. My students have their own scissors from the supply list, so I just put those in there.
Again, this is an optional addition – but something I chose to do so that I could ensure that my students had supplies at home for summer.
You could also put crayons, etc in a ziploc bag – I just happened to have these pencil pouches on hand!
The complete pack is 91 pages long and includes the following skills:
Number and letter printing practice review, beginning sounds, ending sounds, middle sounds, rhyming, counting objects, counting on, more or less, number order, before and after, patterns, shapes, CVC words, CVC word families, blends, digraphs, CVCe words, reading number and color words, graphing, teen numbers, tally marks, base ten, number bonds, word problems, measurement, counting by 5’s and 10’s, addition within 10, subtraction within 10, combinations of 10, reading simple sentences and stories and more!
