Welcome to February! It will be gone by the time you blink! Why is it that even though it is only a few days shorter, it feels like February is the length of weekend? Every year, I tell you! It’s crazy.
To kick off February, I am linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy 4th Grade for the February Currently!
Listening: I live in Washington. Which means everyone I see, including the baristas at Starbucks, the people at the grocery store, the waiter at the restaurant, and his grandma, are all geared up in Seahawks fan attire. Except me. Sorry. I may lose friends over this, but…… I don’t like football. There, I whispered it. So no one heard.
Loving: I LOVE this time of year in kindergarten! Even when I taught other grades, I always loved January/February. I feel like I can see their independence continue to grow, and some of them are totally taking off with reading! I love seeing their minds click and make connections!
Thinking: I swear it was just last week that I changed the classroom calendar to January. Yet there I was Friday night changing it to February! If you teach primary grades, you know that changing out the calendar is serious business and takes awhile! 🙂
Wanting: I am wanting a laptop. I could have bought one already….hubby keeps saying to just do it, but I am hating spending the money! I have an excellent desktop and tablet, and I do a lot of work in the office on the desktop. However….. I have been creating and blogging quite a bit, which means I am in the office a lot in the evenings. A laptop would allow me to at least navigate the rest of the house and be around the hubby more! Or I could just turn off the computer and go on a technology cleanse. I could probably use one. I would say hubby would agree, but maybe he likes the silence hehe.
Needing: So….. my computer files are all sorts of whacky. I realized just how whacky when I was working on some things this week and had to search 700 places for clipart that I know I had. I am pretty sure I have put this on previous currentlys…. so maybe I should get on that.
Pageant Title: The Messy Perfectionist. That fits me perfectly I would say! I am a bit anxious and I really like to have things a certain way. I always try to give my best and I am a perfectionist in many ways. BUT….. I am messy. Sorry Mom. I know you tried. You did good, I just am still messy. Blame Dad. (sorry Dad).
I am more of the clutter type messy. I clean things, but I have piles of things. Funny thing is, my classroom is not this way! Just my house. Maybe I just devote all of my organizing energy to school so I have none left for home. Yep, that’s it. Blame the kindergartners.
How is your February starting out! Share below, or if you blog, link up!
