Check out a few of the activities in this farm-themed resource pack below…
Counting tally marks is an important skill in Kindergarten and this Tractor Tally activity will make practice a breeze! Students pick a hay card and count the tally marks. Then they can color the tractor that shows the total.
This activity includes two sets for differentiation. One set includes the numeral next to the tally marks for extra matching support when first introducing the concept.
In this fun printable activity, students pick a piglet letter card and say the letter name. Then they pick a mud puddle on the recording sheet and write the letter in their best handwriting.
This can be a great quick prep literacy center. Laminate the piglet letter cards for durability and then just add fresh, new recording sheets to your center as needed.
This activity comes in both uppercase and lowercase versions!
Shape Pigs in the Mud
We love learning about shapes and this Shape Pigs in the Mud game makes practicing our shapes even more fun and interactive!
To play, kids pick a shape piglet card and say the shape name. Then they find and color the pig that matches on the recording sheet. This activity also includes a more challenging option pictured below. In this version, students pick a regular 2d shape card and match it to the pig shape.
Farm Animals Emergent Reader
Emergent readers are a fantastic tool to help your students build fluency skills and build confidence! These Farm Animals Emergent Readers come in 2 versions. Print a simple label style version, or one with a predictable sentence pattern.
The best part is they are easy to prep. Simply copy double-sided and cut in half for two books!
