Fall is in full swing and it’s time to enjoy it to the fullest! Today we are excited to share with you one of our seasonal literacy activities. It uses our favorite fall concepts to encourage children to read. This free printable Fall Find It Writing Center is a fun, simple way to get your children walking around the classroom, reading, and coloring all at the same time!

Fall Find It Writing Center
This fall activity is perfect for Pre-K or Kindergarten. You can use this in both a homeschool or traditional classroom as a reading workshop or writer’s workshop center.
What’s great about this activity is we already did the hard part for you! The printables are already created and ready to go. Just grab a few supplies and let the fall fun begin!

Supplies
- Fall Find It Writing Center printables (at the end of the post)
- Clipboard
- Crayons
- Tape (or if you like to keep your write the room cards in similar locations throughout the year, you could use velcro)
How to Use the Fall Find It Printables
I would suggest using this as an independent activity or with a partner. If you choose to use this in a center for one child, then be sure to prep ahead of time. Scatter the fall vocabulary cards around the room before the students arrive.
I also recommend laminating the vocabulary cards to make them reusable and to create an easy-prep literacy center for the future!
You can use tape (or velcro if you will have them in the same space all the time) to place the vocabulary cards on the walls all around the classroom.

Partner Work
My favorite way to use this fall writing center is with partners.
Once the fall vocabulary cards are printed and cut out then partner #1 uses a small piece of tape to scatter the cards around the classroom by taping them to the walls, cabinets, or shelves.
Partner #2 should turn his/her back so they can’t see where partner #1 places the fall vocabulary cards.

Partner #2 then uses the recording sheet and a clipboard to find the fall vocabulary cards scattered around the classroom.
When partner #2 finds a vocab card he/she should read the word out loud, find it on their recording sheet, and color the picture that matches the vocab card.

As partner #2 finds each vocabulary card, they hand it to partner #1 and he/she places them back in the writing center so that partner #2 has a chance to hide the vocab cards for partner #1.
The activity continues until both partners have had a chance to hide the fall vocabulary cards and find them all on the fall coloring printable.

I hope these fall writing center printables bring some seasonal fun and joy to your classroom. Your students are going to love using them!
