Editable Spring Break Homework Challenge
I want my students and their families to enjoy breaks away from school and not worry about homework. However, I also know that several students may not do any reading over the break (and we know how important reading is!). Unfortunately, this sometimes happens to the ones who need it most.
What’s my solution? I like to send home this fun Spring Break Challenge to encourage families to work on some skill building over the break. It’s simple and the kids can earn a small prize for completing it. Something as little as a piece of candy, bookmark, or fun eraser can provide big motivation!

Note: I also allow students the chance to complete the challenge with me at school for a prize, especially if I know of any situation where they maybe didn’t have support at home to complete it. This allows them to feel proud of accomplishing it too!
If you love this spring break homework challenge then be sure to grab the winter break version too!
How to Complete the Spring Break Challenge
The directions couldn’t be any more simple. The students complete the various tasks on the flowers, and color them in as they do. Easy! Yet still educational and important.
Maybe you don’t teach Kindergarten, or maybe you prefer to have different directions at the top. The good news is that this document is completely editable!
That’s right, you can type in your own directions as well as your own tasks on the flowers!
This editable printable is super easy to customize. Simply save the file and open in PowerPoint. Type in the activities that you’d like your students to practice inside of the spring flowers. Save and print!

Teacher Tip: You can create more than one Spring Break Challenge sheet with different skills to differentiate for all students!
