Don’t you love finding activities that allow your child to work on their letter recognition skills? How about an activity that they refuse to stop working on?
These circus alphabet puzzles were just that – a hit! They are easy to prepare, and sure to be fun for your kids to play with as well.
Circus Alphabet Puzzles
One of the skills I am working on with my son is matching upper and lowercase letters.
He however, does not like regular worksheets and needs his tasks to be as hands on and fun as possible. The circus alphabet puzzles more than met the requirements.
Place the uppercase pieces in one basket and the lowercase pieces in another.
Have your child choose a few pieces from either basket and place them on a flat surface.
Next, have them fish for the matching pieces in the other basket. Caleb continued fishing until he found a match. I am pretty sure he enjoyed the challenge of going through all 26 lower case pieces to find the correct one.
To make this activity a bit more manageable, the pieces can be given in sets. For example, Set 1 could be A-G and those will be placed in the baskets.
Once your child has mastered those letters, you can give them another set.
