Clip cards are so versatile and these Christmas counting clip cards are no exception! These cards are great for Pre-K or Kindergarten students working on counting sets of objects and number recognition to 20. They also add a lot of fun to your math centers or holiday activity collection!

*Pair with our Christmas Centers and Activities for Pre-K/Kindergarten!

These free Christmas counting clip cards for Kindergarten are super versatile! They're great for practicing fine motor skills and counting!

Christmas Counting Clip Cards

These Christmas counting clip cards are fantastic for working on both fine motor skills and counting. They provide a unique way to practice different concepts and are just so festive! Even better, they are easy-prep and if you laminate them you can use them over and over again!

How to Prep

To get ready, first print out the cards (below) on cardstock. Next, cut them apart and place them in a basket or pile. Lastly, grab some clothespins or some colored counters!

We have been using colored counters as my son finds clothespins a bit hard to open and close. He still works on his fine motor skills as he has to pick up the thin counters, and will work up to being able to pinch and open the clothespins eventually.

Simply choose a card, count the Christmas objects, and place the clothespin on the correct number!

How to Play

If this is the first time introducing these counting clip cards then it’s always a good idea to start by modeling the activity to your child or group of students that you are working with. Here’s how to play:

  1. Draw a card from the basket or pile.
  2. Count the objects on the card.
  3. Place the counter or clothespin on the correct number.

We were able to complete this counting activity up to 15, but play with the numbers that your child or group of students is most comfortable with.
