As teachers, we know that the beginning of the school year can be stressful. So, start it right by grabbing these super fun math and literacy printables. There’s almost no prep required. Just print and you’re ready to go!

Check out the awesome activities included in this freebie Back to School sampler pack:

Count and Write

Counting objects one at a time is a skill that takes lots of practice. Building up one-to-one correspondence can be done in a lot of ways. I recommend playing a lot of hands-on counting games.

This Count and Write printable works well as a quick review and adds in some fine motor/pencil grip practice as the students color the school supplies.

Apple Trees

Going along with counting objects one at a time is being able to identify numbers and know that they mean something. Knowing that a number represents a quantity is an important skill that goes beyond number identification.

This Apple Trees printable invites students to read the numbers on the apple tree trunks, then take it one step further by drawing that many apples on the apple trees.

Letters in My Name

For early learners, learning how to identify and spell their names is a hugely important skill. This fun printable invites students to search for and color the apples that have letters found in their names.

The kids can use any colors they want, but it is fun to use classic “apple” colors like red and green! We could even add yellow, too!

Spin, Read, and Color

When teaching the alphabet, it is important to make it fun and engaging. Spinner games are a hit and super easy to play. All you need is a pencil and a paperclip!

In this Spin, Read, and Color game, the kids simply spin the spinner, then find and color an apple with the matching letter.
