I’m linking up with Farley from Oh Boy 4th Grade for this month’s currently.
listening: The heater is on in our house! It was 50 degrees out this morning, and I can definitely feel the weather changing. Yesterday afternoon I was outside and could see my breath. Winter will be here before we know it!
loving: I actually am a fan of cooler weather. I love being able to get warm and snuggly inside or have hot tea. I like the fresh, crispy air outside that we have now. I don’t like, however, that it will start being dark at 4 pm…. ugh.
thinking: I really need to be more organized. I have dreams of being super organized but it’s the getting there I struggle with. I always seem to want to do 800 things at a time, so starting slowly and methodically to get something organized makes me a bit crazy! I lately saw some bloggers who have beautifully organized desktops on their computers! Don’t look at mine, or watch me dig through 50 folders for that one clipart I know I have…..
I will get there! Baby steps! Maybe my computer desktop could be the first thing.
wanting: I saw the first red cups of the season yesterday from Starbucks! Guess that means I need to start playing Christmas carols around the house. Ok, I’ll wait a little longer…. but right now I am tired and this plain home coffee isn’t doing it for me. Starbucks please!
needing: This kind of goes along with organizing…. I need to get rid of a lot of stuff. Mostly clothes. I buy new clothes sometimes for the new seasons, yet I don’t get rid of things I already have. Then I have too many and look like a Hoarder’s episode. I need to purge my clothing and box some up to donate. I am hoping to have some boxes ready to go by the end of the week!
reading: The staff at my school is currently working through the book “Understanding by Design” as we build our units of study. It’s a great resource and is really helping us process backward design and changing some of our thinking in how we develop our units.
Hope your November is off to a great start!
