Friday! You are here! How I love you….. Except this week. You are stressing me out this week Friday. On Monday 26 Kindergarten friends arrive and I am not feeling as prepared as I would like. So Friday, I could have used another day!
But, Friday is here – and an exciting thing is this will be my first link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching Five for Friday! Here is a bit that happened to me this past week – link up and share your week too!
This week was C.R.A.Z.Y. I am sure every teacher can relate, and many of you are back to school or have been already so you know what I mean! Kindergarten starts on Monday in my district. This week we had one on one family meetings for each student. I loved these meetings and it is so fun meeting all the families. I am just exhausted after a marathon of these meetings, and trying to be sure I have the bus schedule down for all of my kinder friends….. does busing stress anyone else out?? Speaking of the bus… I love this Pete the Cat wheels on the bus song! I added it to my Pinterest board for Kindergarten Brain Breaks – and thought I would share it here!
I was pretty excited to find these foam alphabet stickers in the Target dollar spot this week! I grabbed a bunch without hogging them from the other teachers that were hawk eyeing them – I do share! I plan on using them for some Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees next week!
My super awesome Kindergarten teacher friend let me borrow this frame she made! We used to teach together at my old school (I didn’t teach kinder then but we were close) and I visited her the other day and immediately asked to use this. I have been meaning to make one but apparently I am just lazy (or stressed out and panicking over everything else I don’t have done….. that might be it) and haven’t made one yet! So maybe next year I will make my own. For now, she has saved the day!
Number 4 this week kind of ties in with number 3…. see the little Instagram icon? I have become a little obsessed. I have just started using Instagram and love it! I didn’t think I would so much, but apparently stalking other teachers for pictures and ideas is something I enjoy (guess I already knew that from blog stalking), because I can’t get enough! Do you have an Instagram I should follow? Let me know!
My puppy is finally getting better! He had to have surgery for some swollen glands. According the vet he is 6 years and 10 months so I guess he isn’t a puppy anymore! Tear. Sniff. He is growing up so fast! (I have no children so just go with it….) This is his more pitiful picture when he was a bit loopy from the meds. He is a bit more perky now thankfully!
Well- Happy Friday to you! I am posting this super late….so it may be Saturday for some of you! But if you haven’t linked up about your Friday yet, you can still join the party, or read what is going on in other bloggers’ worlds!
