The 100th day of school is a big deal! It means we have been together for (you guessed it) 100 days of learning and fun, and it is indeed something to celebrate. Many primary classrooms have celebrations on the 100th day. In my classroom, one way that we celebrate is by having a party, and we like to do “100th day activities” all day long. For example, most of our lessons and activities on the 100th day of school will be 100 themed, like this FREE 100th Day of School cut and paste sentence printable!

100th Day of School Cut and Paste Sentence Printable
We are always working hard on our sight words and our writing, and we want to keep it fun, too! This 100th Day themed activity does just that on our special day.
This activity also strengthens our scissor skills – Kindergarteners can always use practice with cutting and gluing!
Then there is our absolute favorite part… coloring! This is a skill too, and also builds kids’ fine motor skills!
How to Prep
This activity could not be easier to prep for your kids. Just print, and that’s it!
Grab some pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue, and your students are set to get started unscrambling those sight words.
How to Play
These cut and paste sentences help us not only read sight words, but form sentences, work on our cutting skills, and on our handwriting skills too!
You can have each child unscramble on their own, or you could build the sentence together as a class first either on the white board or in a large pocket chart, depending on the needs of your students.
At this time of year, my kids are generally more independent, and if I let them work in groups, they are able to read these simple sight words and work together to figure it out. However, it is a simple activity to do whole class and provide assistance with as well.
After kids cut and unscramble the sentence, it’s time to glue it down, and then write it in their best handwriting.

These sentence sorters have even my reluctant writers feeling confident because they provide them the starter and the sentence to copy. This gives them the confidence they may not otherwise have on their own yet. This is probably my favorite thing about this 100th Day of School activity!
